Community Support Groups

Our Partnership with Project S.P.I.R.I.T

Living with sickle cell disease—or supporting someone who does—can sometimes feel isolating. Connecting with others who understand the journey can provide meaningful encouragement, shared knowledge, and a sense of community.

About Project S.P.I.R.I.T

Project SPIRIT Sickle Cell (PSSC) offers support groups for individuals and families affected by sickle cell disease. These groups create a welcoming space where participants can share experiences, ask questions, and learn from others navigating similar challenges.

They provide one-on-one and group sessions in a confidential caring way with a diverse group of inter-faith chaplains who are trained to have an understanding of sickle cell trait (SCT), sickle cell disease (SCD), inheritance, management, treatments and complications. To get started with your enrollment, complete their Spiritual Services Agreement.
