This September, Sickle Cell Prodigy™ and the Cayenne Wellness Center are proud to partner to create a culturally responsive space for Spanish-speaking individuals and families affected by sickle cell disease.
This gathering is part of a broader effort to ensure that Hispanic and Latino individuals affected by sickle cell disease are informed, connected, supported, and represented. Cayenne Wellness Center is hosting the 5th Annual Hispanic Heritage Sickle Cell Disease Educational Seminar in Long Beach, California, September 15–16, 2026.
The hybrid educational seminar will be offered entirely in Spanish and will bring together individuals living with sickle cell disease and trait, caregivers, healthcare professionals, advocates, and community partners.

A Space Created for Community
Living with sickle cell disease can be challenging—and navigating that experience across language, culture, healthcare systems, and family dynamics can bring additional challenges.
That is why Sickle Cell Prodigy and Cayenne Wellness Center are coming together to create a space where Spanish-speaking individuals living with sickle cell disease, caregivers, and families can connect in their own language and through a shared cultural lens.
This in-person session is designed to foster:
